Spend a Lot Less Time Redeploying

“The tools (JRebel and XRebel) save me about 1 hour every day.” – Joe Parks, CEO

About the HyperProductive JRebel and XRebel Case Study

HyperProductive is a custom software development company and advanced IBM business partner focusing on custom software development, business agility solutions, and business intelligence.

Using JRebel to instantly redeploy and check code changes and XRebel to identify performance problems and troubleshoot reported errors, Joe Parks, CEO at HyperProductive, saved almost an hour per day.

Technologies in use:
IDE: IntelliJ IDEA
Application Servers: Tomcat, WebLogic, JBoss,
Geronimo
Databases: H2, IBM DB2, Microsoft SQL Server,
MySQL, Oracle, Sybase, MongoDB
Frameworks: Apache Camel, Apache Cxf, ATG,
Grails, GWT, Hibernate, Jackson, Log4j, RestEasy,
Spring, Struts

I spend a lot less time redeploying.

I edited the rebel.xml to include the directory containing ATG property files, and JRebel reloaded those changes. It was nice to find out that this was an option.
